matt and trey
April 6th, 2006 | by prick |my hat is off to you gentlemen. last night’s episode of south park showed that you both have the biggest balls in hollywood. i have been waiting for someone to say what you said last night.
why the hell is the image of the profit mohammad such a touchy topic? it’s not against MY religion to depict him graphically. where the hell did free speech go? are we that scared of the rest of the world that we won’t even take a stand on this issue?
this sudden censorship this country is suffering from is perposterous. if you do not wish to read spoilers about last night’s south park, stop reading here.
the episode was about an upcoming Family Guy episode that was to show mohammad as a character in the show. the town freaked out, as they usually do. however, at the last minute, fox censored the episode.
now, up until this point, i thought this episode was all about muslims and mohammad. oh, boy did they stick it to the $camatologists in their own little way. cartman went on a rant about how a televison show is doomed once an episode is pulled from the air. this was a direct reference to comedy central pulling the rerun of the $cientology episode.
of course, the episode went on and the town began burying their heads in the sand - literally - to avoid being seen as a supporter of family guy.
and to top it all off, this was the first part of two episodes. they ended by saying something to the effect of, “See part two of Family Guy, next week on South Park. See if Comedy Central pusses out or not.”
so, it appears that Matt and Trey don’t even know if they will get to show Mohamad. or, it’s all a bunch of bullshit.
in any case, i am once again convinced that south park is still the best animated televison show around. their use of computers to make the show gives them the ability to be the most topical animated show. it takes 9 months to make an episode of the Simpsons. it generally takes matt and trey less than a week.

obviously you aren’t really keeping up here, redneck. we’re not talking about religion, we’re talking about censorship. the point is that in this country, we have freedom of speech (if you weren’t such an “illiterate dumbass” you’d know why), meaning that we have the right to offend anyone we want. if a cartoon isn’t censored for showing jesus shitting on a flag, but it is censored for offending other religions, there is a problem.
You should also take into consideration that religion is responsible for more deaths than anything and everything else. Living a life driven by morals and virtues makes you better than most of the world. So stop judging others and begin to judge yourself because we are all wicked and the best way to change is not to ask another, (God, or whoever tells you what to think) but to look within and decide for yourself.
(For future reference, I recommend that you read “The Age of Reason” by Thomas Paine so you can keep up with these types of discussions)
