long weekend
August 1st, 2005 | by prick |This weekend has shown me that I am definately getting older. Both physically and emotionally.
My weekend really started on Thursday night at Genderf*ck at Choices in Long Beach. Kadimah asked me to perform with her and JR, which I did. It was a lot of fun. I got all dressed up and got to hang out backstage with all the purdy drag queens. Had a little to drink and had a blast on stage.
Friday night was, of course, Hedwig! This was our first show back since going seasonal. The audience was pretty solid and the energy was up. I think people got a kick out of our Revival! preshow and The Cure cover band. The show went well and most, if not all, the props went off without a hitch. At least, I think they did. We had a lot of people there to help with the whole show and I think it was a success!
Then, there was Rocky on Saturday night. I went, against my better judgement, and had an alright time. I was so tired that I was fighting to stay awake during the movie. So, I could have had a better time, had I gotten more sleep. But, the cast was great, as always. Also good to see (briefly) some of the people I know there.
So, having plans every night this weekend made it fly right by, but it also wore me out completely. That makes me feel my age. I’m not saying I’m old. Just older.

whatever grampa…that weekend wore me out too, and i didnt even go to rocky! i feel your pain is what im saying…eh? hear that pa? youre not alone! (if roar were to hear this he’d get mad and drag us out to a rave or some bullshit)
