here comes xmas
December 23rd, 2004 | by prick |Only 1 day left until Christmas. Seems like every year I get a little older and Christmas comes a little quicker. I can remember being very young and wanting Christmas to come so quickly, but it always seemed to take forever. Now it just shows up, moves it’s stuff in, eats all the food, drinks all the booze and passes out.
That said, I find it interesting that I was able to finish my shopping a little earlier than I ever have. True, I bought for less people this year, but every one of the gifts just came to me and I go them.
Soon after Christmas is my birthday, as well. So, that means more presents. Or, that means less presents. It always seems to get confusing around this time of year. It’s a bit overwhelming that I will be turning 25 in 9 days. I have difficulty remembering that I am 24. When someone asks me how old I am, I always have to think about it. I always want to say 19, but doesn’t everyone? So, turning 25 will be easy to remember from now on. 25 is one of those last-ditch-effort-marker-years. It’s when I get cheaper car insurance, am able to rent a car with no extra fees and (as Asha said) buy babies. I doubt I will have much occasion for either of the latter.
Now, I must be off to sleep. Until another time…
