year-end
December 15th, 2004 | by prick |Let’s see what’s been going on with me…
I’ve started listening to The Muse. They sound quite similar to Radiohead, but have a much harder sound. Of course, KROQ and Star have been playing the singles off the new album to death. I found, though, that I actually really like the older albums. So, it’ll be easy to not get sick of this band. Also, when KROQ first started to play the single from the new album, I had already heard the whole album when Trace let me listen to it on the way to Hamburger Mary’s one night.
I finished both seasons of Dead Like Me. I can now say that I am a bigger fan of DLM than I am of Six Feet Under. See, I finished all 4 seasons of SFU right before finishing DLM. So, I’ve been comparing the two the whole time. DLM is just a better show. It has a lot more staying power than SFU did, which is evident in the fact that SFU is being cancelled after the next season. Anyway, it might have something to do with my crush on Ellen Muth (Georgia), but the rest of the cast is just fantastic! Two notable guest stars in the second season were Yeardley Smith and Eric McCormack.
Work has been picking up lately. My boss has decided that we are going to push our web design business through our marketing plan. Which means that I won’t have to work on networks, remove viruses and install windows updates anymore. All I will be doing is working with websites and domains! Very exciting. Now I just need to perfect my PHP skills and learn CSS.
I am using the new version of Trillian Pro version 3 Alpha. If you are using an IM client such as Yahoo or AIM and you’re still using their software, you’re missing out. I mean it. Trillian Pro 3 is the best IM client I have ever used. It’s like they took everything you would ever want to do with an IM client and made it 10 times better. From met-acontacts (where you can group people’s many IM accounts) to the video chat to the new Rendevous service (which lets you chat with other users on your local network), it’s just fantastic. I highly reccomend you ditch your OEM IM clients and join the Trillian bandwagon.
Well, Christmas is upon us. How could anyone miss it? Everywhere I go I hear the music, even in a mexican restaurant! That, of course, means that my birthday is quickly approaching. I have plans for the big day, but I’m not sure that I am ready to be a quarter-century old. This year will be the first milestone since I turned 21. This is the year my car insurance goes down and my responsibilities go up. The only resolution I am making this year (you can’t imagine what it’s like to have NYE and your birthday on the same day, makes for more impactful resolutions) is to get out of debt and move out of the house. Well, that and begin working out regularly. I know I’m a skinny bitch, but if I don’t start working out now, I’ll lose my opportunity to get into shape easily.
So, that’s all for now. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!
