This past weekend I travelled to Berkeley, CA to see The Pixies in concert. The show was fantastic. I, obviously, have never seen them perform before and I was very impressed. I was only recently introduced to them, so I feel lucky that I got to see them on this tour.
I met a friend of mine and his cohorts before the show and we headed up to the Greek. We discovered that driving to the venue was a bad idea, but eventually found parking. We entered the theater just as the band was about to go on stage (perfect timing). We found a spot to stand right in front of the sound booth and had a great view the whole time.
They played a ton of songs that I knew and I did my duty by calling specific people for specific songs. I took as many pictures as I could, but the security was rather aggro about people with cameras, so I only got a few good shots. I was just about to take a video when a security guy yelled at me and I put my camera away for fear of losing it.
All in all, a really good time. I also got to see a friend from Burning Man while I was up there, so that definately added to the experience. I want to go back up there sometime soon and get out to the city and do more. I was just so tired from the drive, considering I left after performing in Hedwig on Friday night (rather Saturday morning).

Oooo lucky boy! i got tickets in june, but i still have to wait till November till they come to me. they have to do two shows really close togeather here cuz the first one sold out in the first hour. i got mine in the first 30 seconds that they were available and i was already #73 :) well it’s prolly gonna be our last chance to see them here, ever.
